In Gratitude for our Good Shepherd
Prayer Journal - Tuesday 1/27/26
My Kiddo has a book about this story from Matthew. Jesus told his disciples about the shepherd and his flock. The shepherd would leave 99 sheep to search for the one that is lost. When he finds the lost sheep he rejoices more over that one than the 99 which haven't gone astray. It's a beautiful reminder that the Lord will always come after us when we go astray and celebrates when we return to Him.
Father God, thank You for Your unending and complete love for us. Thank You for always wanting us to return to You and seeking us out when we fall. Thank You for Your mercy on us and for sending Your Son Jesus to suffer and die in our place. Thank You for this life and for my loved ones.
Lord, please help me to recognize any stumbling blocks that are in my way and help me to remove them from my life altogether. Help me to be like the little child Jesus spoke about, full of trust, dependence, and faith in You.
Please help guide me each day and help me to have the courage and will to do the things I must do. In Your precious Son Jesus' name, Amen.
