I'm looking forward to new beginnings

I really don't know much about blogging, but I wanted to start up writing again and hope this becomes a regular thing.

Please comment if you have any tips if you are a blogger or aspiring blogger! Right now, I am going through Reddit and other online search results to figure out which is the best long-term blogging platform. I may not stay here on blogger.com forever.

It sounds like Wordpress is the majority favorite based on the sheer magnitude of capabilities the platform has, plugins, customization, etc. But for now, I just want something simple. I don't have a ton of time to dedicate to learn the platform -- although I used to use it, it seems like things are a lot different now. Squarespace is really pretty but expensive, so that won't be on the table for awhile. Let me know if you have a favorite platform and why.

The purpose of this blog in general, is to track a few things:

  • Homeschool curriculum reviews
  • Daily devotional journaling/prayers
  • Potential 30-day challenges or processes to try new things

I have a young kiddo so this will help me organize my thoughts and track progress while he's napping when I have a little bit of time here and there.

I am currently reading through the bible here

Typically, I journal by hand in a notebook, but after reading I'd like to write up some reflections to share sometimes so I will post those on this page

My kiddo is still under 2, but I plan to homeschool him. I taught in a Montessori classroom so I'd like to incorporate Montessori/independence-based methods into my homeschooling and potentially set up a co-op or community school if I can find some other local like-minded parents. So we shall see.

Here's where I'll keep a log of all the free curriculum I have reviewed (and maybe some paid ones too).

And this is the page where I will track all the 30-day challenges.
