In Gratitude for God's Faithfulness
Devotional Reflection - Tuesday (11/11/25)
I am comforted today by the verses in Hebrews.
Especially these in Hebrews 10:
18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, an offering for sin is no longer required.
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, through His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let’s approach God with a [a]sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let’s consider how to [b]encourage one another in love and good deeds, 25 not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Since Jesus died and rose again, we have been able to approach God directly and hear the Holy Spirit.
We are so fortunate.
And we are blessed that He who promised is faithful!! God will not waver on his promises to us. Hallelujah!
My husband and I are not currently attending a church but the end of this passage points out why it's so important to meet together.
Father God, thank You for always being faithful to us through Your promises even though we fail. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die for our sins, a once-and-for-all perfect sacrifice, so that we may approach You directly.
Please help me be a positive force to pull my family back into a healthy church body. I am so grateful for the blessings of encouragement from other Christians when we are gathered and I want my family to be blessed with a church family. Please bless our search and help it to be an easy and positive transition back.
Thank You for the peace and encouragement from Your Holy Word. Please help me to do all the things I need to do this week so that we can have a good trip. Please give me wisdom and courage to do Your will. Help me to be a better wife and mother. Please help my son to know and love You with his whole heart.
I ask these things in Your Precious Son Jesus' Name, Amen.
