In Gratitude for God's Mercy

 Devotional Reflection - Friday (10/31/25)

Today's readings from the Bible in a Year website are:

Oooh! I love Psalm 103 so much! If that doesn't give you some rejuvenated strength and faith, I don't know what will! Especially after reading the woes in Lamentations. Boy, that is a heavy reading today.

I am just taking some time to read through Psalm 103 a couple of times. It is so reassuring to know that God's love and mercy for us outweighs His anger toward us when we stray away from Him. He is so happy when we repent and he removes our sins from us as far as the east is from the west. Elsewhere in the Bible it says God remembers our sins no more. Amen for that!

Father God, Thank You for your truly abundant love for us and mercy on us. Thank You for calling after our hearts and pulling us back to you when we stray. Thank You for sending your Son to take our punishment and wipe away our sins, removing them from us as far as the east is from the west. We know there's nothing we have done to earn Your grace, but You give it so freely because of Your love for us. Help me to recognize anything I am holding onto in my life that is keeping me away from You. Please speak to my soul and help me hear Your still small voice. Please give me wisdom and discernment. Please help me to do what you have called me to do and help me to recognize what that is each day. In Jesus' Precious Name I pray, Amen.
