A Prayer for those who Suffer

Today's readings are:

LAMENTATIONS 3:1-66

HEBREWS 1:1-14

PSALM 102:1-28

PROVERBS 26:21-22

Phew, I have tears in my eyes reading Lamentations today. Dear Jeremiah had such a difficult mission but he stayed faithful to the Lord. May we be as faithful!

How similar is the Psalm reading today. I will bookmark these passages to read when I am suffering so I may be comforted in the Word. 

Father God, Thank You for blessing us with life on Your beautiful Earth. Lord, may we always turn to You when we suffer and never lose our faith. Thank You for Your comfort and mercy. Thank You for Your grace and love for us. Be with those who suffer today, hold them in your arms, and comfort them. Please speak to their hearts, give them hope, and keep them from feeling alone. 

I pray if you or your loved ones are suffering today that your pain, fear, or turmoil will ease and you can find some peace and rest from God through your prayers and in scripture.
