Seeking God's Will Alone

Devotional Reflection - Monday (10/20/25)

Today's readings from the Bible in a Year website are:

I needed to take the weekend to rest, and while I did still read scripture, I wanted a break from writing a reflection, but we are back now and it's a Happy Monday!

The Rechabites listened to the command of a man, Jonadab, but wouldn't listen to the commands of God.

How often have I followed what a person did or said and not followed or listened to God?

It's so much easier sometimes to just go along with others rather than following the straight and narrow.

Father God, Thank You for giving Your children here on earth wisdom when we ask. Please help me to compare Your Word with the words of wisdom I hear in everyday life and to know the differences. Help me to seek Your Will alone and follow Your Ways. Please give me strong discernment and wisdom and speak to my heart to know what I must do each day.

Thank You for carrying the burdens of my heart and giving me the energy to do the things I need to do each day.

Thank You so much for the blessings you've given me. Thank You for the health of my son. If it is your will, please allow us to hear good news at his appointment tomorrow so that we don't need to be concerned any more. I put all my faith and hope and trust in You. I know You carry him in Your hands and You are in control of his health as well as my own. Thank You for loving him more than I can imagine and for giving me the blessing of being his mother.

All these things I ask in Your Precious Son Jesus' Name, Amen
